Beck's varied career includes a little bit of everything. From working as a video artist in San Francisco in the 1970s to building toys with digital technology, the Berkeley resident has found dozens of ways to apply his passions from art, light and technology.
The Noor Project
Sept. 11 sparked Beck's interest in animating Islamic art. He's created large, moving images of geometric patterns. He envisions displaying them in urban settings, like on the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
